the Coen brothers would be proud of this modern day spin-off of their 1996 classic which shares the same name.

although it is rather slow to get going, you can’t help but be enticed by the eery nature of Billy Bob Thornton’s dark, haunting performance. This paralleled with Martin Freeman’s innocuous, nervous and somewhat flimsy character is a contrast made in television heaven.

This is certainly not a series just to watch irrespective of your mood, but a drama to subscribe to and watch conscientiously. I recommend giving it a chance to grab you.

Walking Dead – Series 1 / EP.1

primitively blowing the false pre-tensed cobwebs out of ones mind, this enthralling opening to an undisputed edge-of-your-seat first series is one of the best. A genius use of time by director Frank Darabont, stitched together with innovative writing, promotes a belly-tingling prospect for the rest of the series.
A true favourite personally.
